Simply put, I exist on my own terms. In public, I am poised, elegant, and a little untouchable; someone whose presence bends a room to her rhythm. In private, I am playful, curious, and endlessly probing, revealing only what I choose, to those who deserve it.
I move through the world like a map I’m constantly re-drawing, balancing rigor and whimsy with efficiency and precision. My days are measured, my pursuits deliberate, yet I thrive on the thrill of testing boundaries and discovering what happens when rules are bent. Pleasure for pleasure’s sake is the ultimate goal. All else is secondary.
My interests shift as the world shifts around me. One day, I may be fully absorbed in sculpting a new piece, painting layers I know no one will notice, or designing garments that merge the improbable with the familiar. Another day, I disappear into writing poetry, or music, or I fall into worlds that feel larger and smaller than ours at once, hunting dragons, solving puzzles, or learning every secret of a realm few dare explore. Art and experiences are never casual to me; they are collected, analyzed, and treasured as something that belongs uniquely to me.
I carefully determine who sees this side of me. Attention is only given in proportion to attention received; those who follow the rules gain entry to my inner sanctum. The rest remain outside, glimpsing only a shadow of the woman who moves through her city with a confidence few can match.
I love music that hums under the surface of thought as well as music that overtakes it, galleries that intrigue and challenge the physical eye as well as that of the mind, libraries off the beaten path, and urban forests so dense that the city disappears entirely. The life I've built is intentional, curated, and extremely comfortable.
Surrounding myself with only the very best of people has gotten me everywhere in life; those possessing minds that challenge, and hearts that understand. Trust, curiosity, and energetic generosity form the bonds I value most; in return, I give my attention, presence, unwavering respect, and loyalty. Connections are chosen, cultivated, and fiercely protected, personally and professionally.
I do not use AI to think, write, nor produce/edit imagery; I consider myself one of the last bastions of proud imperfection on the internet. I hope that you, too, will leave your constant search for perfection in yourself and in others at the door, and choose to connect with me on the basis of something attainable and real.

• I'm in the process of designing a set of jewelry using natural pink opal beads that I was gifted for my birthday. (Thank you, CR! ❤︎) Opals are my birthstone, and I adore receiving beads and craft supplies as gifts.

Jams
Electronic, Bass, Party & Dance
Sometimes I just want to lose myself in movement, bass, or immersive soundscapes while I don't think about much else at all. Artist examples for my happy-go-lucky, party girl mood include bbno$, Caravan Palace, Daegho, PiNKII, and Yung Gravy. (Disclaimer: bbno$ is the only person in the world who could turn me into a housewife.)
Emotive, Raw, Alt Rock & Grunge
Music for deep introspection, emotional release, and intensity. I listen to artists such as these when I want to feel deeply, explore catharsis, or channel raw energy: Arctic Monkeys, Mannequin Pussy, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Black Keys, The Sixth Chamber, and Wet Leg.

• The bell hooks Love Trilogy, often called the “Love Song to the Nation,” is a three-book series examining the transformative power of love in personal and societal life. “All About Love: New Visions” (1999) redefines love as care, honesty, and responsibility, showing how it can heal families and communities. “Salvation: Black People and Love” (2001) explores how a “love ethic” can confront racism and patriarchal harm, fostering personal and collective liberation. “Communion: The Female Search for Love” (2002) examines women’s search for love within patriarchal culture, presenting it as a journey toward self-love, solidarity, and independence. Across the trilogy, bell hooks highlights love not as mere emotion but as a practice that shapes healing, freedom, and meaningful connection in all aspects of life.
• “The Will to Change” (2003) by bell hooks examines how patriarchy harms men by suppressing their emotions, fostering fear of intimacy, and promoting anger as the primary outlet. Men are urged to engage in self-reflection and emotional healing, reclaiming their full emotional lives. This journey toward authentic love benefits both men and the relationships around them.
• Bhaskar Sunkara’s “The Socialist Manifesto: The Case for Radical Politics in an Era of Extreme Inequality” (2019) surveys socialist history and advocates democratic socialism as a practical alternative to capitalism. It promotes workplace democracy, expanded social rights, and market-based, worker-managed firms. Emphasizing U.S. relevance and lessons from past socialist failures, it calls for addressing inequality, racism, and sexism in a modern, millennial vision.
• “Sex Work Today: Erotic Labor in the Twenty-First Century” (2024), edited by Bernadette Barton, Barbara G. Brents, and Angela Jones, explores modern sex work’s evolving forms, highlighting digital trends, inequalities, worker perspectives, and policy impacts across global contexts.
• “Tell Me What You Want” (2018) by Justin J. Lehmiller examines sexual fantasies through large-scale research, normalizing diverse desires and emphasizing communication, understanding, and safe exploration to improve intimacy and relationships.
• “City of Weird: 30 Otherworldly Portland Tales” (2016) is a collection of 30 imaginative, eerie stories blending horror, sci-fi, and pop culture, curated by Gigi Little, celebrating the city’s character through diverse authors and strange, thought-provoking tales.
• Christopher Marlowe (1564–1593) was an English playwright, poet, and translator of the Elizabethan era. Marlowe’s life was marked by intrigue and controversy, ending in his untimely death at 29. “The Complete Poems and Translations” captures the aching beauty of his lyric and narrative verse, and his haunting Ovid translations. “The Complete Plays” seethes with ambition, desire, and forbidden knowledge (Doctor Faustus, Tamburlaine, and The Jew of Malta), written in blank verse. Together, they reveal a literary genius marked by intensity, longing, and inevitable tragedy, a voice that still reverberates with the fire and peril of Elizabethan life.

• “Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking” by Malcolm Gladwell examines how the brain makes rapid decisions through “thin-slicing” and the adaptive unconscious. Snap judgments can be remarkably accurate, especially in expert hands, but are vulnerable to bias, stress, and error. The book explores when intuition succeeds, when it fails, and how to balance instinct with careful analysis.
• “The History of Philosophy” (2019) by A. C. Grayling surveys global philosophical thought from ancient to modern times, integrating Western, Eastern, and African traditions, and presenting key ideas in an accessible, comprehensive single volume.
• “Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right” (2016) by Jane Mayer examines how wealthy donors used hidden funding networks to influence U.S. politics toward libertarian and far-right agendas.
• “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu, an ancient Chinese general and strategist, teaches that true skill lies in winning without fighting. Emphasizing preparation, intelligence, and adaptability, it highlights knowing yourself and your enemy, using deception, and striking weakness. Its lessons extend beyond warfare to business, politics, and everyday life.
• “The Devourers” (2017) by Indra Das is a dark fantasy weaving werewolves, history, and horror across modern Kolkata and 17th-century Mughal India. Through a professor transcribing a werewolf’s journals, it explores shapeshifters, love, violence, and identity, tackling themes of colonialism, queerness, and mythology.
• Chess, with anyone and everyone who will play with me. The app on my phone isn’t enough; I need the thrill of physically taking the pieces. Is that toxic? Who knows.
• Baldur’s Gate 3 is a turn-based RPG (inspired by Dungeons and Dragons) where players, infected by an alien parasite, seek a cure amid conflicts with devils, deities, and dark forces. I am currently campaigning as a Dark Urge Drow Sorcerer.
• Overwatch is a futuristic 5v5 team-based FPS, featuring 45+ heroes across Tank, Damage, and Support classes. Players compete in objective-driven matches that emphasize teamwork, strategy, and unique abilities. I play D.Va, Soldier 76, and Mercy.
• Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is a narrative-driven RPG. You are an amnesiac detective solving a murder in the city of Revachol. Emphasizing dialogue, character psychology, and political themes over combat, it features a unique skill system that enables complex role-playing and exploration of philosophy, identity, and moral choices.
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an open world game that follows Link, who awakens from a century-long slumber to a devastated Hyrule. He must recover his memories, free the Divine Beasts from Ganon’s corruption, and regain strength to defeat Calamity Ganon.
• My long-standing comfort game is Skyrim, an open-world fantasy RPG in The Elder Scrolls series where you play as the Dragonborn, a hero fated to defeat the world-eating dragon Alduin. I favor archery, spell-casting, and sneak-based skills.
• I am working on multiple musical singles, and I'm playing with the idea of making full-length albums. I have fully written over two dozen songs, but I'm finding it difficult to determine the musical direction, which is obviously required in order to move to production/recording. Maybe I’ll start a band.
• I have put myself on fashion-design time-out until I finally get around to repairing several projects I’ve been sitting on for friends and family, and hemming/altering my own clothing that I have been eyeing with disdain. Here I am now, designing this website instead... Perhaps I should end the blog post here and go set up my sewing machine.
See you soon!
